140 YEARS
SENSUAL BODYSUIT
The 'Marilyn' bodysuit, which is a highlight of our anniversary collection, combines nostalgic elements with modern design and honors an era that revolutionised fashion history. It symbolises femininity, seduction and the comfort that HANRO has been offering since 1884.
The timeless bodysuit tells the moving story of an era in which women found their voice.
COMFORT MEETS FEMININITY
The ‘Marilyn’ collection is inspired by swimwear from the 1930s, with figure-hugging silhouettes and elasticated fabrics. HANRO remains true to its claim: to convey a feeling of well-being and comfort without losing sight of feminine seduction.
In the 1980s, HANRO launched lace bodysuits to the market, which with their exquisite workmanship and finest laces quickly became a favorite among style-conscious wearers.
The 1940’s gave birth to a fashion period that was revealing, sensual and feminine - an aesthetic and an era characterized by the timeless glamour of icons such as Marilyn Monroe.
The 1940s inspired campaign shoot served as a template for the imagery of the anniversary collection 'Marilyn'.
Since HANRO’s founding in 1884, our main focus has been on feminine but, above all, comfortable women's underwear. This enchanting lace used in the ‘Marilyn’ collection is made from soft lace galloon and is particularly comfortable to wear. The special back detail with bra clasp on the bodysuit ensures a perfect fit.

THE ANNIVERSARY LOOKBOOK
140 YEARS FOR HIM & HER
140 YEARS THEN & NOW
To mark the anniversary, we are taking a retrospective look at 140 years of textile history. Since its founding in 1884, HANRO has accompanied the spirit of the times with underwear collections. This has resulted in iconic ranges that reflect the lifestyle of generations and characterise the brand yesterday, today and tomorrow.
The company archive in Liestal served as a source of inspiration for the designers, in which valuable, historical pieces from the old HANRO collection have been collected over the last 140 years. The anniversary styles were staged using old campaign images.
